TEAM RAVNSBORG NEWS ___________________________________________ ___________________________________________ 06.06.10 Gardemoen Last info from G-moen this weekend. Did 2 runs today.7.61 and 7.37. Lost the semi final by 0,09 sec. I was too slow from start, but made 307 km/hr over the finishing line. Next racing is Sundsvall 14 days from now. Regards Vidar
05.06.10 Gardemoen The day is over, and we did two drags. 7,7 and 7,9. Not good, hmmm.... Has a small leak on one top, thus there will be some work tonight. We get to race tomorrow. We'll just have to do some better runs then. Regards Vidar.

03.06.10 Gardemoen this weekend
We are going to G-moen Thursday to race for the Norwegian Championship title. It seems like the bike is in good shape. It was just a small detail that made it stop during the last drag in England - this is fixed OK now! We charged rather hard at the 2nd drag Sunday, thus spinning most of the distance. The pilot was a little too eager... But it is promising for the future races, and all in all we are very happy with the stay in England! And we are 100% ready for this weekend. There will be a lot of drivers going very fast, so take the trip to G-moen!! Regards Vidar

Last update from Santa Pod this time. We lost electrical power, and everything stopped. But the weekend was great anyway, and I believe we came 5th. And the bike is ready for G-moen next weekend. Full throttle then! Best regards Vidar.

Drag Challenge 02.08.2009.
It was a struggle to get the bike ready to race this weekend. The guy who took on the job of making a new cylinder for the bike, did just a halfway job, and then he vent on holiday. We had to start again to find someone who was qualified to do the job for us. We got lucky, and late thursday evening the Team was able to start putting the bike together. On friday did we discover that a valvefitting was broken, and after a urgent phonecall to Svein Kristiansen the problem was solved. Had a startup on saturday, and the engine purred like a kitten. The engine did feel strong on the first run, had a nice burnout. And suddenly the bike just died. WHAT THE FU-K. The battery had no more power. Got a new battery and rolled out for a new start.
New pers.record: 7,08sec./313km`t HURRAH very happy. Next run and the second pers.best. 6,99sec/ 310km`t. JOY AND HAPPYNESS. At last I made a 6 sec. run. In the semifinal another pers.best 318km`t. I lost in the final to Hans Olav Olstad. Had a super weekend with pers.record in all runs, and the bike was strong and the engine did the job perfect. Vidar.
Summernats 06.06.2009. Vidar made two ok runs at 7.4 sec. In the 3th run, the engine was not able to hold the power inside, and the engine did blow up. The results of the "Bang" can you see on the picture below. What cause this "Big" bang is most likely run down in the battery. Vidar and the Team, hope the engine runs at Drag Challenge Gardermoen 01.08.2009. Tommy.
29.04.2009: Hello all my friends. I am wery sorry but i can not race at Spring Nats on Gardermoen. I have a little problem with my back, and i need to get painfree before i can race. But I will be comming back strong for Summer Nats at Gardermoen 5-7 june. Vidar. 28.feb.2009: Vidar and Tone had invited sponsors, friends and all who helped the Team in the 2008 season, to a great party at the Hawgs Mc clubhouse. Almost 30 friends and helpers did show up, and I think everyone had a wery good time. Tone served the guests a really good norwegian tradition meal, and there was plenty of the good, wet and funny stuff to drink. Vidar was greatful for all help and support and he gave everybody a big "tank you". It was a great party and all the invited did have a good time. Tommy. New personal record again!! 7.15 og 302km/t. Second drag was 7.40 og 304km/hr. It was really slippery, and the bike was spinning. Big-bang in the finals. The gear box was damaged, and the engine was filled up with nitro... That's racing.... But all in all we are happy with one more successful weekend and a great season: TEAM RAVNSBORG - WINNER OF NORDIC CUP !! ______________________________________
New personal record! Did a new personal record. 7.28 og 306km/hr. 1. qual. Saturday. Unfortunately, the rest of the weekend rained away, thus the drag was not counting. Ended 3. qual, and we are really satisfied that the new bike runs smootly! After the weekend, we are still leading Nordic Cup with 13 point! _________________________________
SUCCESS during Summer Nats at Gardemoen this weekend! During a show at Hadeland, Norway June 1st, we found that a couple of parts in the old bike was worn out. Thus, we had some busy days and nights working on the new bike towards the race this weekend. The engine was started for the first time Saturday morning. We got two drags Saturday, and one winning drag Sunday at 7,48. The bike worked just fine, but the driver needed a couple of runs to be 100% familiar with the equipment. The team is indeed satisfied with the result and the title, and everything's looking good for the rest of the season. The next will be show racing at Dokka, Norway, Friday June 20th.

NEW TEAM BIKE! The "old" bike is soon ready for a new season. Most parts are in place and the work is progressing as planned.
